Youth Programs Coordinator

We are extremely fortunate to have had Michelle working with us at our 1803 Danforth Makerspace since the beginning – Michelle has been with TTL for over three years. She helped renovate the space, lending us her skills as a carpenter! She has worked to develop our youth programs, creating TTL Kids as an inclusive empowering space for Young Makers.

Michelle’s passion for teaching children combined with her dedication to inquiry-based learning and her education (Ontario College of Teachers certified, Masters of Teaching from Ontario Institute for Studies in Education) make her an important leader in the maker education revolution.

Youth Programs Facilitator

Sarah is passionate about opening the world of tech to kids and empowering them to build whatever they can imagine.  She’s especially excited about the educational potential of games.  By day, she works in Rapid Prototyping, using 3D printers and lasercutters to fabricate just about anything. In her spare time, she makes her computer do weird things and runs Small Talk, a lecture series (for grown ups) that works to foster collaboration across disciplinary boundaries.

Nadim is a multidisciplinary makestuffoholic, who specializes in woodwork, leatherwork, and colossal cardboard costumes. He also frequently dabbles in 2D and 3D design. (So, basically, all the things.) Nadim currently leads a group of local historical reenactors, engaging audiences in combat displays and olden-day craftsmanship.

His work with kids runs the gamut: video game programming, full-size soapbox car building, frankenstein toy hacking, video creating and editing, and much more – both in the physical and digital worlds of makerism. All. The. Things.
