Event Rates at the Toronto Tool Library and Makerspace
1803 Danforth Avenue, Basement
Our Makerspace is available for event rentals
Examples of events that you can hold at the Makerspace include private and public lectures, book launches, seminars, meetings, parties, screenings and can include special programming on select equipment (e.g. 3D Printing demo and networking mixer). Event rentals are a minimum of 4 hours in duration, including time allotted for set-up and tear-down. Members receive discounted rental rates.
The Toronto Tool Library and Makerspace aims to give its members a 2-week advance notice about a closure for a private booking and we kindly request a 30-day notice for rental inquiries. Certain times are not available because of regular Makerspace programming. (*Read below for fine print).
Email us Contact@IRBE.org with your contact details and information about your event, including dates, and we’ll get back to you with a quote.
Initial Deposits to reserve the space can be made here:
** Please note that event rentals are not available at our west Tool Library due to space restrictions. But you can Host a Workshop at either locations!

An event rental contract will need to be signed. Guests using tools will be required to sign a liability waiver and complete appropriate Tool Certifications with one of our Tool Ninjas for additional fees. Where applicable, rental clients are required to secure their own Special Occasion Permits and certified Smart Serve volunteers in order to serve alcohol at events (for sale or no sale).
